MÚSICA DO CÍRCULO AND MUSIC EDUCATION IN THE MUSIC TREE APPROACH
30th-31st August 2025
FOR THE FIRST TIME
Tiziana Pozzo and Pedro Consorte
LONDON
Imagine stepping into a quiet room in the heart of London. Silence. Breath. Rhythm.
A circle that welcomes you, before you even say a word.
A space where you’re not here to teach, but to listen, explore, and be held. For once, it’s your turn to receive.
You’re a teacher, a facilitator, a musician who has already given so much. You’ve guided, inspired, created space for others to grow. And yet… something inside you is asking for more. A creative spark that longs to be nourished.
This workshop is a space to reconnect with the heart of your work—
Not the performance, not the curriculum, but presence. Here, through voice, body, play and stillness, you’ll return to deep listening. To yourself, to others, to the natural rhythm of things.

Led by Pedro Consorte, co-creator of the Musica do Círculo approach, and Tiziana Pozzo, founder of the Music Tree Approach, you’ll explore:
Music as a relational, non-verbal language
Improvisation as a pathway to expressive freedom
The body as a tool for communication and co-regulation
The circle as a space of safety, belonging, and resonance
- How to apply this in a music education and music therapy context
This is not just a workshop.
It’s a return to what made you fall in love with music, with teaching, with being human.
A weekend-long course that will allow you to explore and deeply understand how to integrate the Musica do Círculo method in music education, through the the Music Tree Approach.

What is Música do Círculo?
Música do Círculo is an innovative method based on collective musical creation, improvisation, and non-verbal communication. Through group dynamics, participants learn to create music spontaneously and collaboratively, developing rhythmic sensitivity, active listening, and expressive skills.
The Music Tree Approach
The Music Tree Approach is a cooperative music education approach developed on Gordon’s Music Learning Theory. It integrates principles from Music Therapy, Vocal Improvisation, Body Music and Musica do Círculo into an educational setting, providing practical tools to facilitate engaging and dynamic music learning.
CONTENT
During the course, we will explore four fundamental aspects:
1. Cooperation between facilitator and group
In our approach, the facilitator is not a director but a co-creator of the musical process. You will learn how to guide participants smoothly, stimulating their creativity and autonomy.

2. Improvisation as a key to learning
Through practical exercises, you will discover how to make improvisation accessible to everyone, regardless of their age or musical level, creating safe spaces where every contribution is valued.
3. Musical Dialogue and Non-Verbal Communication
You will learn how to use it to build deep connections among participants, developing active listening and intuitive response skills.

4. Movement and Space Management
Through movement, you will learn how to manage the group’s energy, create engaging dynamics, and make learning more effective and fun.
